That way, they can address the unique issues underlying their addiction and improve their outcomes in recovery. At The Retreat of Atlanta, we offer an array of treatment services, including therapy, holistic approaches, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).

Treatment services at our addiction treatment programs in Atlanta include the following:

    Medication-Assisted
    Treatment (MAT)

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) combines FDA-approved medications, such as Sublocade and Vivitrol, with behavioral therapy to treat alcohol and opioid use disorders.

    Cognitive-Behavioral
    Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is one of the most common types of therapy used today. CBT can help you manage relapse triggers as well as treat the underlying causes of your addiction.

    Dialectical Behavior
    Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a type of therapy that focuses on building skills in four areas: (1) emotion regulation, (2) distress tolerance, (3) interpersonal effectiveness, and (3) mindfulness.

    Individual
    Therapy

Individual therapy or one-on-one counseling will help you address issues unique to you and your addiction, including building confidence, setting healthy boundaries, and coping with stress.

    Group
    Therapy

Group therapy is a cornerstone of many addiction recovery programs. During group therapy, you and your peers discuss issues and share coping skills under the supervision of a mental health professional.

    Family
    Counseling

Drug and alcohol addiction impact the entire family. Because of this, it’s important to bring the family together during counseling sessions to heal together and support one another.

    Psychiatric
    Services

Psychiatric medications can help treat underlying mental health disorders at the root of your addiction. When combined with therapy, medications are highly effective at reducing symptoms.

    Therapy

    Our Admissions Process

    3 Steps to Recovery

    1

    Assessment

We’ll begin an assessment over the phone when you call us to learn more about our addiction treatment programs. This ensures that we can meet your treatment needs at our facilities. We’ll also learn more about your addiction as well as any co-occurring mental health disorders you may have.

    2

    Approval

Following an assessment, we’ll work on ensuring that the costs of addiction treatment aren’t a barrier for you. This means getting approval for services through your insurance provider. We partner with some of the most common insurance providers in order to help you get the treatment you need.

    3

    Admissions

Once you’re approved, you’ll officially be admitted into our program. An admission counselor will guide you through orientation. After that, you’ll have an in-person assessment with our medical and psychiatric treatment team to begin creating your individualized recovery plan.
